EVIDENCE
In these paintings I shift my vision from the horizon, from a broad view of earth and sky, to what is underfoot. I share an intimate view, one in which I am awed and humbled by the quiet details of the natural world. The painting’s surface reflects what I respond to as I wander: varied, highly textured, sometimes dull and sometimes luminous. The imagery references grains of sand, tide lines, shells, and the random stuff of beach walks. Some pieces convey calm, delicacy, and flow, while others explode with vibrant radiating energy
