I am on a search for a sense of “home” in the natural world and on this vast planet. I seek resonance, always, with the deepest part of my being. What moves me there requires that I give it form.

Most recently I find a sense of home both near and far: nearby, in the new growth, the colors and openness of spring blossoms, and far away, in the solidity of the earth’s substance, in stone and rock, in boulders rising up from the ground and in stones used in ancient buildings.

Paintings in this section are inspired by my daily walks, and by my travels to Hawaii, Big Bear Lake, and Barcelona.  I think of these experiences as “grounding.”
